My Tutu Is Coming!
Yes, you read it correctly...I am getting a tutu and, yes, it is pink.
Just have to find those perfect leggings to go with it. If you are interested in having your very own tutu....I ordered mine from an Etsy seller...Sisters of the Moon Designs. They have numerous different styles and colors and sew to order in your size.
I am preparing for Art Is You in Petaluma September 19-23. Friday is Pink Day and everyone is invited to wear pink, be pink, and live pink for the day. Money raised that day will be donated to the Women's Cancer Support Group in Petaluma.
Sallianne, Ellen and Marlene (the amazing organizers of Art Is You) are planning some Weird, Wild and Wonderful events and happenings during the week .....not to mention the fabulous classes being offered.

I have the pleasure of teaching two classes in Petaluma. On Sunday, September 23rd, I will be teaching my new Madame Bijoux Box class.
and on Friday evening, September 21st, my Twisted Sistah Cuff class.
Art is You has it all.... the beautiful Sheraton Hotel, scrumptious food, exceptional people, inspirational and fun classes, amazing trunk show (saving my pennies for that), the charming town of Petaluma, and the event itself is one of the most nourishing mixed media art retreats I have had the pleasure of attending.
Now I have to find that special pair of pajamas to wear on Sunday. Yes, that is right, Sunday is Pajama Day. I will be standing up in front of my class teaching in my jammies......how fun will that be!

You are a brave, brave woman (on both counts - tutu and jammies)! I am going to my very first art retreat this fall as my 50th birthday present to myself (50 next month). I am going to the Art Is...You retreat in Stamford, CT. I AM SO EXCITED! I don't know that I'll wear a tutu or jammies, but who knows - maybe once the calendar flips to 50 I'll say what the heck!

Sounds like such fun!!!! And I have NEVER had a tutu! I kind of think some of Robin's skirts look like big girl tutu's but, yours sounds like fun. And Jammies... you can't get better than jammies! LOVE both your classes. You always manage to stay new/fresh with your projects!!! LOVE THAT!!!! Have fun. I'm having a big Boo Boo face that I can't come out for this one too. :(

Your blog is really nice and your work too! The retreat sounds like fun - something I've never done, maybe we should try it here in South Africa. I can already see myself teaching ceramics in a tutu - hilarious!

Diana, your tutu is really sweet! I wonder if I can muster up enough courage to wear one - one day?? :-) I know you'll have lots of fun teaching these classes this Fall - they are such beautiful projects. I love the Twisted Sistah cuff version & I'm excited to see that you are offering an online course for the necklace soon as well! :-)
I just know you'll be adorable in your tutu! Sounds like a fun time will be had by all. I love the idea of an on line class for those of us who are too far away. The cuff is gorgeous!

I love, love, love your little bijoux boxes!!! Wish I could get to Petaluma to take the class! I started collecting little boxes just recently and have reworked the tops of them and have them for sale in my antique/collectibles booth. I just love them!
