Have you ever wanted something so deeply and for so long when the miracle finally happens, it is hard to believe.  Well, pinch me... 

my new little companion, a sweet little Havanese girl named Olive Rose, was born just 4 short days ago.

Today, I had the privilege of having the pick of the litter and chose this golden chocolate little one. Does she just melt your heart?

For several years, I have waited patiently (sometimes impatiently)  for my hubby to give me his blessing to add a puppy to our family.  Four months ago I received that blessing and after an extensive search for a reputable Havanese breeder here in California, I found one in Auburn.  

During the last few months I have had fun buying everything from toys, puppy gates, crate, collars, car seat...you name it in preparation for the arrival of Miss Olive.  She will come home the end of September.  Olive will be my very first dog as an adult.  So, I have a lot of surprises in store I am sure.  I may be calling upon you for support from time to time.  

Well, I will keep this short as it is late and I must get off to sleep.  I was just so excited to share this little bundle of joy with you.  If any of you have any tips and suggestions on being a puppy mom, I would appreciate your advice.  I am so grateful to my friends who have supported me through this journey.  How fun it will be to now have play dates with our little friends.

I will dream of puppy dog kisses to come.

My Tutu Saga

When you least expect it, someone touches your heart!

My heart is full of gratitude because of the thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity of an anonymous creative soul who gifted me with these amazingly gorgeous gauntlets....the perfect accessory to wear with my pink tutu to Art Is You in Petaluma in September.

Whoever you are out there in Idaho Falls, know that your gift touched me deeply....I absolutely LOVE them!  Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are so very sweet.  

The felting, delicate seed bead work, stones, custom dyeing....every detail adds to the incomparable  beauty of these gauntlets.

My tutu saga does not stop with these stunning gauntlets....no indeed.  When the package arrived with the gauntlets and hand-made card complete with poem...postage was due on the package.  My mail carrier very generously paid the needed postage from his very own pocket with no desire to be reimbursed.

A few days later, I received an email from one of my students saying that she found the perfect black leggings to go with my tutu.  She found them on sale, in my size, purchased them and wished to gift them to me.  Thank you Diana Salvucci-Smith!  I so appreciate you. 

Oh my goodness.....my heart overflows......Thank you all.  Your thoughtfulness fills my soul with loving energy.
